I’ve travelled to so many amazing places and some stunning wedding venues. Travelling with a camera in my hand is really inspiring.
I often arrive a day or two beforehand, so feel free to make extra use of me. Whether there is a rehearsal dinner the night before, or a day after shoot in a scenic landscape, I’ll be there!
I like to think of myself as a friend with a camera who has come along for the ride. Believe me when I say that I enjoy the day as much as anyone else!
How a destination wedding works
First things first, there is travel to think about. I often book my own flights to arrive a few days before the wedding. That gives me time to look around the venue in advance & check out the best spots to get some great shots on your wedding day. There’s also the chance that if you’re having a party the night before I can attend and capture some fun moments for you. Everyone can meet me and get to know me a little ahead of the big day. I love to get to know everyone involved in the wedding, so I'm there as more of a friend then a hired photographer. That way I'm able to capture your wedding day perfectly.
If we haven’t met it’s also a great time to put a face to a name. We could grab a drink and get to know each other. Alternately, some clients love to use this time to get some extra photos in, so we would head off to find some beautiful backdrops to capture really fun and goofy photos in a Couple's Photoshoot at no extra cost. Generally, clients hire me as a destination wedding photographer because of my style of work and my fun personality. There are plenty of amazing local photographers in every location, but are usually recommended to you by your venue. Whilst there are advantages of this, they often take photos that can be quite generic. The same poses in the same places. Whereas I aim to get to know you beforehand which helps me capture images that are important to you, and document your day as it unfolds. Often a local photographer will be there for a set amount of hours, whereas I will be there to capture the whole party – right up to the point everyone jumps in the swimming pool at 2am!
The ability to connect, tell stories and become friends is to me much more than just a transaction. I love making new friends so let’s create something beautiful together!

I take the time to document a wedding in the most beautiful way. I want you to look back on one of the biggest days of your lives and relive each and every moment.
You have my undivided care and attention from day one. My wedding packages start with pre-wedding meeting and consultations. This will be in-person / phone / email / skype / coffee… We will get to know each other and make sure nothing is overlooked in the planning process.
It’s a complete destination wedding experience:
